Indicating the importance of formulating and carying out a tourist product strategy for Istria as a tourist destination of Croatia, tehe Mediteranean an Europe, thze authors stress that several pre-conditions must be met if this stzrategy is to be applied on the international tourist market of the twenty-first century.Acording to the authors these preconditions refer to : the marketing strategy of Istria as a tourist destination, the determination of Istrias tourist product, target markets andmarket segments, andthe promotional strategy of Istria.
