Sažetak
The education system needs special treatment with the development strategy of the Croatian tourism sector, through the famework of reconstruction, of the Croatian economy and redefinition of the tourism product. It has to recognize the specifics of this profession and to follow European and international experience. It is necessary to educate the personnel for tourism needs, especially through good full-time education, which should also be open to the possibility of on-the-job education and training, continuous education and personnel-training, as well as the possibility of getting sufficient education through education levels in between.
