Sažetak
This paper is a part of a more detailed report on technological creativity in the industry of Croatia made on the basis of empirical research carried out in 1986. The data presented here give us some insight into the opinion of managers of 84 industrial enterprises in SR Croatia and the opinion of 400 young workers from the industry of the Zagreb region. The following topics were analyzed here: 1) the greatest reserves and possibilities for better results and a higher income in enterprises under the present business conditions (opinions of workers and managers ; 2) basic reasons why the expert knowledge and capacities were not adequately used ; 3) relationship between the variables of experiencing work and the variables of income maximization (canonical correlation ; 4) relationship between variables indicating the possibilites of income maximization and variables showing the attitudes towards inventive work (canonical correlation).

Kako projekti iz prethodnog planskog razdoblja (1986-1990: 'Osnove dugoročnog razvoja znanstvenoistraživačke djelatnosti' i 'Znanstvenotehnološki kadrovski potencijal Hrvatske')nemaju svoje šifre u bazama MZOŠ RH, ovaj je rad pripisan kasnijem projektu. Naime, nastao je u kontinuitetu rada iste ekipe istraživača na sličnim temama u IDIS, Zagreb u to vrijeme.
