Sažetak
The application of adhesives in joining of materils is limited not only by not knowing the time weakening of adhesive forces but also by the impossibility to accurately calculate the strength of adhesive joint.
The introductory part of this paper briefly mentions the effect of design factors upon the strength of a single lap adhesive joint, later in the paper a description is given of the authors work in carrying out the factorial design in order to explain the effect of joint geometry on the strength of the single lap adhesive joint, and to develop a mathematical model for calculating the strangth of the mentioned joint.
Conclusion deals with the applicability of the developed model and the possibilities to determine the effect of design factors for the above mentioned joint.
