Sažetak
Oil and gas companies during exploration and production of oil and gas, generate various liquid, semisolid, and solid wastes. When on-site disposal of these wastes is allowed, it is generally the least expensive disposal option. Consequently, the majority of wastes are disposed of on-site. Wastes are handled by off-site commercial disposal companies if state regulations preclude on-site disposal or if operators elect to avoid the responsibility of on-site waste disposal. Paper describes disposal options, costs of each option and disposal practice in Croatia.
