Sažetak
We report measurements of the thermoelectric power (S) as well electrical resistivity (ρ ) in the temperature range from Tc up to 600 K of single-phase Bi2 Sr2 Ca1-x Prx Cu2 O8+δ compounds with 0<x<0.06. It was found that the S(T) dependences in the normal state have two regions of different thermopower behavior. In the first region, at low temperature (T < 200 K), the S(T) curves have a well defined maximum, which shifts to higher temperature as x increases. Then, as the temperature increases, there is an extended second region where S decreases nearly linearly with temperature. The results are discussed in the framework of several literature models.
