Sažetak
To look at the history of Zagreb - Zagreb was always a cultural, intellectual and political center and a source of ideas on new architecture. Old towns are usually cultural and historical treasures. All of them remind us of a long history and give us the atmosphere and spirit of that time. Some buildings survived intact and serve us as good as planned many years ago. The most fascinating thing of all is that the primary function of our desired object has changed over time. What kind of architecture does Zagreb and Croatia need? To become a real European capital, Zagreb needs the new architecture. Architecture today must be technically correct, multifunctional and flexible, it has to maintain reasonable consumption and living standards and must have aesthetic meaning. Houses not only exist as beautiful objects, but also as documents of the history of cultures and achievements of the society that produced them. It has to attract all the generations and foresee the spirit of the future.
