Sažetak
After three years of practical experience with remote consulting based on ultrasound digital immages we started to use dynamic ultrasound sequences.Surgery for internal medicine-Virtual polyclinic at the island Cres on the North Adriatic coast of Croatia is connected with the Department for Gastroenterology in Clinical Hospital Centre Rebro in Zagreb.We communicate through HT Hinet special web server on htps://telemed.hinet.hr web site. Our first problem was a technical one .The equipment needed was very demanding and the budget from the Ministry of Science and Technology very small. Our first results indicate that diffuse parenchim organ patology and dissemination of the disease is better presented to the remote consultant by dinamic ultrasound sequence.Changes that invole only one part of the organ can be presented only with ultrasound digital static immage.When we need to follow up a patological change and it's position related to the other organs than again we need dynamic ultrasound sequence. Digital immage only is good enough for the gall bladder or kidney stones. In practice we need less time for the digital immage only and that consultation is less expensive.For sending digital immage we can use simple telephone line. When we need a dynamic sequence we need more time for recording the sequence and sending to the consultant.We use double ISDN line for sending. There are many medical professionals practicing remote ultrasound consulting who are recomanding static immages or dynamic ultrasound sequences .Our early experience lead us to the conclusion that we can optimise the use of those diagnostic tools by using them in the right way and at the right time.
