Sažetak
In the List od Croatian Birds, 394 species are included. Among 246 nesting species et all, there are 223 regulary and 11 occasionally nesting birds, while 12 species are extinct as nesting birds. At 5 species more nesting is not significant. For each species, seasonal status and observation period are also included. The geographical distribution in particular areas of Croatia is shown for each species, while subspecies of polymorphic species observed in Croatia are only mentioned. For the 68 rare species recordered less than 10 times, references and also the wider are of observation are listed. Regular passing migrants number 207 species, while 90 species are typical winter visitor. An evaluation of the number of nesting pairs and the level of threatened of the nesting birds are given according to IUCN categories and draft of Europaean Vertebrate Red Data. There are 32 critically endangered species, and 12 species are extinct.
