Sažetak
The paper analyses the joining of flanges to compensating tubes i.e. compensators of a smaller diameter. The properties and application of compensating tubes are discussed, as well as the methods for joining the flanges.
The work also presents the advantages and disadvantages of certain joining methods. The necessary welding equipment is analysed and the most suitable joining methods for flanges is recommended. The problem in welding is how to achieve a sealing joint between the compensating tube with the wall thickness of 0.3 mm and the ring of 2 mm thickness.
