Sažetak
A significant aspect of adolescent development is the formation of the self. The self is defined by the self concept which changes with age. People feel good about themselves when their view of themselves fits weel with the feedback they get from those around them. The aim of our research was to investigate the self concept of adolescents who have behavioral problems and because of that are placed in the institution. The study of self concept of youth with different behavioral disorders primarly having on mind their disadvantageous conditions of upbringing and specific influences during certain periods in life. We are analysing self concept of 40 adolescents in institutions, ages 12-20, with whoom we made in-dept interview. The purpose of interview was to collect lot of information about different aspects of their life: family, childhood, friends, leisure time activities, wishes, respecting roles in their life, perception of self. Our metodology was qualitative analysis of data and we used computer program for that named Nvivo. We exstract 12 dimensions of self in adolescents with behavioral problems in institution: worries, personal characteristics, psychological and physical self experience, proud of myself, me in the eys of others, me and the relations, social structure influence, expectations of oneself. We conclude that youth with behavioral disorders in institution have good psychical perception of self. They are aware of their good and bad characteristics, specially those which are based on their impulsiveness. They are very proud on positive changes which happens in their life during interventions of community. They are full of worries about their unsecurity of their future life.
