Sažetak
Article 17 of the Water Framework Directive requests the European Commission to present a new Groundwater Directive proposal for adopting specific measures to prevent and control groundwater pollution. The current state of the negotiation process of the proposal is given in this paper. As a part of the Common Implementation Strategy, the Groundwater Working Group (C) needs to clarify groundwater issues that are covered by the Water Framework Directive and prepare the development of technical guidance documents in the light of the orientations given by the future Groundwater Directive upon its adoption. In this respect, drafting activities of this working group related to Water Framework Directive provisions are elaborated in details in this paper.
