Sažetak
An intelligent article of clothing with the active thermal protection has thermal insulation chambers with small tubes through which compressed air is conducted. The tube (1) inflates the shoulder insulation chamber, the tube (2) left and the tube (3) right chest insulation chamber. The tube (4) inflates the back and the tube (5) the belt insulation air chamber. Each chamber has its own sensor for compressed air, the shoulder chamber the sensor (6), the chest one the sensor (7) and the belt one the sensor (8). The level of air pressure defines the thickness of the thermal insulation chamber and its thermal insulation properties. The thermodynamic parameters within the article of clothing are measured by the sensor (9), while the parameters of the environment are measured by the sensor (10). Depending upon the ratio of the parameters within and outside of the article of clothing, a decision is brought on the thickness of the thermal insulation chamber in question, i.e. on the thermal insulation properties of the article of clothing, achieved by varying the air pressure in the chambers. Additional thermal insulation properties can also be achieved though various combinations of activated and deactivated thermal insulation chambers.
