Sažetak
The article discusses the nature of Cultural Studies, basing its point of view on the interrelatedness of its contents (as proposed by the curriculum of the Rijeka Cultural Studies) and the modalities which put such a project into effect. It analyses specific topics, such as the disciplinary underpinning of the field, the scope of its interdisciplinary interests, its institutional and extra-institutional role(s) etc. while attempting to link the notion of cultural studies to the concrete tasks it is meant to play within the university environment and within the concrete life-space which it inhabits.
