Sažetak
Among Mediterranean countries, Croatian coast is one of the most attractive. Former "wild" development brought many environmental problems. Destroyed natural heritage is not possible to reconstruct. Environment, though difficult, could be revitalized and Croatia would need to try it in the cases of Kaštela Bay, Bakar Bay, etc. The Bay of Mali Ston protection efforts have high value of prescription: Although it could seem expensive it is always profitable to protect environment and gain sustainable development. In and around the Bay of Mali Ston, without environmental problems now exist the town of Neum, but also aquaculture that keeps the people alive. The way in which it is done in the Bay of Mali Ston is a real example for future. Protection of environment and enabling of sustainable development!
