Sažetak
The automatic secondary voltage and reactive power control determines control device actions based on reference voltage values set at certain load buses denominated pilot buses. Application of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) for automatic secondary var control is proposed in this paper. Secondary zone controller is developed using two neural networks (NN I and NN II). As control devices are used generators and capacitor banks, that enables var control by generators and/or capacitors but tendency is on maximum using of capacitors. Realized controller is tested on modified IEEE 14-bus test system (one control zone). Results are satisfied, control signals NG and NC keeping pilot node voltage within ą 1% limits.
