Sažetak
Anthropometrics as method of anhropology deals with measuring and testing of human body and dimension relationship between individual body parts. As people are different in body height and development, it is necessary to become familiar with human body of average (normal) construction. The results of anthropometric measurments are used in a wide range of industry branches, from clothing industry over furniture industry to footwear industry. Before making anthropometric measurments, it is essential to determine the accurate position of individual anthropometric points over the human body. After placing the body into so-called "standard posture" and marking the position of individual anthropometric points over the body, anthropometric measurments are made so that the parts of the tools used for measuring are placed on the subject's skin, specifically on individual anthropometric points. In determining body measurments by the conventional method, the following tools are used: one-arm and two-arm anthropometer, a specially designed protractor, calipers, measuring type and scales.
