Sažetak
In CEE, the oil and gas industry is quite fragmented, mainly for historical reasons, with most refineries being owned by national oil & gas companies. The hungarian oil company MOL has already achieved significant synergies from its partnership with Slovnaft, which has motivated it to continue with M&As in the region. The Croatian INA has been perceived as another valuable strategic partner, which could help MOL become the regional leader both in terms of refining capacity and retail sales.
