Sažetak
SMEs in Croatia have relatively significant and recognized position that is verified by the analysis in this paper. Their participation is prevailing in wholesale, retail, real estate, manufacturing and construction. The research illustrates that SMEs stand behind the average figures for Croatian economy and even worse in the observed period between 2000 and 2003. On the other hand, in the same period, productivity of small enterprises has increased by 8% and for medium enterprises by 38%.
