Sažetak
This study will demonstrate the accuracy of using modelled instead of measured meteorological input in an air pollution dispersion model. Since, it is not always possible to have measured data the Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) models are employed to provide the input. The widely used steady-state Gaussian plume model ISC3 was applied to calculate the concentration of air pollutants from point source situated in Zagreb, Croatia. Modelled input was obtained from the limited area NWP model ALADIN/HR. Some of the input parameters for the dispersion model run, like hourly values of flow vector, wind speed and ambient temperature, are routinely measured meteorological parameters or the part of a NWP model output. On the other hand, dispersion parameters i.e. stability and mixing height have to be inferred from measured or modelled data.
