Sažetak
A reference model variable-structure (RMVS) control method is described and tested by computer simulations on a three-axis planar robot with realistic dynamic robot model. The replacement of sign function in the original variable-structure control law with a few different functions: a continuous, saturation and exponential function, all of them with a very thin boundary layer, results in chattering elimination and reduction of energy.
