Sažetak
The subject of investigation was the possibility to use five different samples of slag in the proces of removing the Cu2+, Co2+ and Ni2+ ion mixture from water solutions. Samples of slag ware obtained within the production of high-alloyed steel cast (DIN: G-X 40 CrNiSi 25 20) and low-alloyed steel cast (according to the analysis, steel is alloyed with Cr, Mo and Ni). The influence of several factors upon the proocess has been monitored: concentration and type of metallic ions, change of temperature, chemical and mineralogical composition of slag. It is evident that the examined slag samples can be used in the purification process for waste watersloaded with metallic ions. The affinity sequence of the tested samples was determined based on the metallic ions: Cu2+>Ni2+>Co2+.Both the affinity of the tested slag samples based on the Cu2+, Co2+ and Ni2+ ions and the removing efficiency decrease in the sequence: slag sample 4>slag sample 5>slag sample 3>slag sample2>slag sample 1. The number of tied metallic ions on all slag samples increases with the temperature and starting concentration. The increase in the starting concentration results in the decrease of the efficiency of removin metallic ions on the tested slag samples.
