Sažetak
The article describes the IP network for the voice services transfer and the parameters, which influence voice quality transfer over the IP network. It depends on delay, delay variation, packet loss, total capacity on link and echo, when talking about mixed IP/PSTN network. The accent is given on delay components, specially on variable components. This article thoroughly analyses influence of data traffic on total delay, as well as, voice quality over IP network. At the end, simulation measurements with the original developed application PlanVoip are made, whereat the influence of number of output buffers k, in which the voice packet must wait behind predefined remained size of data packet m in buffer, is proposed. This original application enables iterative analysis of these two parameters. This analysis provides a detail insight into influence of data traffic on total end to end delay of IP telephony traffic, as well as, the insight into the quality of service level of transferred voice traffic over IP network.
