Sažetak
Diversification of the island's economy was one response, as seen on the maritime villa at Verige, Brijuni. The part of farm building became built up as a fullonica probably in the time of imperor Diocletian. The new building sorounded with porticoes were built between the the bath and farm building. In the courtyard had been four lacunae. The water was supplied from a well 20 m deep located over a natural spring within the Iron Age fort on Gradina hill. A nymphaeum was built around the shaft and two large reservoirs were buit next to it. The aqueduct lead to the bath and fullonica. Suić argued that this was baphium Cissense Venetiae et Histriae listed in the late 4th century in Notitia Dignitatum
