Sažetak
Fine needle aspiration cytology is considered as the key method in the evaluation of thyroid nodules. This is a special and unique situation in cytology.The differential diagnostic problem of possible coexistance of two primary carcinomas or a metastatic carcinoma is well known.The management of such cases requires true and tight collaboration of all team members. Fine needle aspiration biopsy using ancillary techniques such as cytochemistry or immunocytochemistry can provide a comprehensive diagnosis.Hereby, we report on a 47-year-old female patient operatively treated for cystic lump in cervical region followed by liver surgery for cystic tumor. We discuss and analyze in detail the multidisciplinary approach which is very important to clarify differential diagnostic problems.
