Sažetak
Metal casting industry in Croatia at the beginning of nineties came into extremely difficult situation because of war events. Large foundries reduced their volume of production, so that small foundries started to play main role in development of metal casting industry. Further existence of these small foundries was made possible because of application of new CAD/CAM technology. To enable modernization of casting production in large foundries, the paper gives suggestions and advices, which should be followed, regarding introduction of modern software and application of computers and modern technologies.
