Sažetak
The Republic of Croatia has signed various protocols on environmental protection, thus having accepted obligations of sending annual reports on exhaust emission to EEA. In this paper, a short review of international organisations as well their interrelations has been given. Exhaust emission for road traffic in Croatia for the year 2003 is also estimated, using the program package COPERT III, which is recommended by EEA for sending reports on exhaust emission. For illustration, a comparison with Finland, as a member of EU and a country with similar population size to Croatia, has been given.
