Sažetak
The genus Dryopteris ADANSON (Dryopteridaceae) has very complex phylogeny with several polyploid complexes, hybridogene origin of some species and apomictic propagation, which have resulted in great variability, formation of "small" species, infraspecific taxa and many hybrids. Therefore many unresolved taxonomic problems still exist. The genus is represented with 19 species in Europe. For the flora of Croatia 8 species and two subspecies were known until now. During the extensive field work and revision of herbarium material deposited in ZA and ZAHO two species new for the flora of Croatia were recognised. Dryopteris expansa (C. PRESL) FRASER-JENKINS & JERMY (Dryopteris carthusiana agg.), the diploid species in the aggregate, was regularly incorrect determinated as Dryopteris dilatata (HOFFM.) A. GREY. It is commonly distributed species in the zone of beech forests, mainly in the Dinaric area of Croatia. Dryopteris submontana (FRASER-JENKINS & JERMY) FRASER-JENKINS is the allotetraploid member of Dryopteris villarii agg. and it was regularly treated as Dryopteris villarii (BELLARDI) WOYNAR EX SCHINZ & THELL.. The species is distributed in cervices and fissures of calcareous rocks of Dinaric mountains. Further research will show precise distribution and possible variability of these species in Croatia.
