Sažetak
Status of current spatial and temporal fishery regulation measures in demersal fishery activities in different areas of the Croatian part of the Adriatic Sea can be more successful presented by GIS tools. Therefore, in the Institutes Department of demersal fisheries different layers related demersal fishery activities and legislation has been created and analysed by using Arc-GIS tool. Analysis of different layers and their overlays help very much in investigation and description of recent exploited stock status in different marine areas, planning fishing activities in relation with protection of specific populations in the different regions, demersal fish stock assessment, etc. This also helped in adoption of regulations related marine fishery resources because there has been a high fishing presure for many years, which resulted with negative changes in populations and communities, especially in the open Adriatic Sea. which was one of the principal reasons why Croatian autorities proclaimated fisheries ecological protective zone.
