Sažetak
In 1954 professor Guberina, the world-famous phonetic and linguist, applied hid speech linguistics as a verbotonal theory and method of listening and speech development for persons with hearing loss and deafness. Later on this method was spread for all areas of speech communications and has become widely applied all over the world. The researches made by professor Guberina and his colleagues as well as scientific discoveries in neurology area confirm the basic principles of verbotonal theory, while success in rehabilitation confirms the great value of verbotonal method. Multi-sensory, spatial perception and spatial grammatical systems are involved in listening and speech development – both at natural development and at rehabilitation. All the years SUVAG Polyclinic took part in many international and domestic projects and collaboration programs, research efforts were held, our specialists defended doctoral theses. Due to continual training of our specialists and many years’ experience in rehabilitation of all sorts of hearing and speech disturbances using various digital hearing-aids and apparatus “ Verbotonal” SUVAG Polyclinic is prepared properly for work with cochlear implants as well as other up-to-date technologies.
