Sažetak
A simultaneneous lesion of booth the crown and the root represents one of the most serious trauma of the front teeth. Most oftern, such a tooth has to be extracted with serious consequence for the growth and development of that important orofacial segment. These undesirable consequences can be prevented by adequate treatment and replantation. A case described refers to a 12 year old boy who came to the clinic with a 4-day old fracture of booth the crown and the root. The tooth was extracted the pulp was extirpated the canal was leaned and shaped, and the tooth was filled extaorally with CaOH2 filling. The tooth was then replanted with extrusion of 4-5 mm in to the alveolus andfixed by a wire splint. The process of healing up and osteointegration of the tooth was folloved up by RVG densitometry for 1.5 and 6 months. A nontraumatized neig hbourring tooth was used aa s reference for the bone densityanalysis.The results obtaimed vy follov up of the symmetrical points of thetwo teeth show different values of bone densitry in rewlation to the time elapsed from the replantation, the findings expressed in netric units are pressented graphically. It can be concluded that a period of 6 month is required for a complete and maximal osteointegration of a replanted tooth.
