Sažetak
Temporary increase of platelet count in whole blood determinate as thrombocitosis and decrease of them as thrombocytopenia. In both conditions we have possibility for bleeding, and how difficult is, directly dešendent of platelet count. Transfusion therapy with whole blood or platelet concentrate try correct platelet count on values adequate for phisiological functions. Efficiency this therapy monitoring with determined platelet count in different time after transfusion. today, hematology systems for routin analysis of platelet, also demonstrate platelet parametaers like MPV, PDW and P-LCR. High variability and nonadequateinvestigation in many conditions eliminated this parameters to use from clinicians. Aim of this study is investigation how change plateret parameters after transfusion therapy with whole blood in burned patients with or not reactive thrombocitosis (N=48) and transfusion therapy with platelet concentrate in oncology patients with thrombocytopenia (N=29). Platelet analisis in this two groups of patients we determined in tree time points: previously transfusion, immediatly after and 24 hours after transfusion on hematology analysator Sysmex K-4500. This system works on impendance princip platelet counting and PDW on 20% of MPV. Statistcal analyses of results were done with nonparametric analyse variance from Freedman (Computer program SPSS). Statistical significance different (on level of 99, 5%, where p<0, 005) we found only in platelet count in both groups. Platelet parameters showed significance differences on level of 95, 0% whwre p<0, 05 in both groups.
