Sažetak
Preeclampsia is a major cause of maternal and fetal mortality and morbidity with an incidence between 2-10%. By Confidential enquiry into a maternal deaths in UK it was found that n 46% of maternal deaths and 65% of fetal deaths due to pre-eclampsia reported through, different management would reasonably have expected to alter the outcome. Mostly there was a failure to identify and act on known risk factors at booking and to recognize and respond to signs and symptoms from 20 weeks' gestation. Therefore screening for a risk factors are particularly important part of modern obstetrics practice and they must include proper history taking and detailed clinical examination. Particular attention must be taken for: - maternal age - parity - previous preeclampsia - family history of preeclampsia - multiple pregnancy - diabetes - chronic hypertension - renal disease - autoimmune disease including PAPS - time between pregnancies - body mass index - blood pressure at booking and - Proteinuria at booking. As well as that, it is mandatory to have detailed screening at adequate level of obstetric care. Those points will be discussed in details during presentation
