Sažetak
The development of their neglected agriculture and the recovery of their villages are amoung the key issuses of economic and developmental policies in tranzitional countries in the 21. century. In Croatia , the villages in the carst region are in a specially vudnerable position, bereaved of young population. Any attempt at their development pay a large amount of atention to the role of women who ia a pillar of socio-demographic and family-individual development of villages and agriculture. Thas appropriate measures and activities are needed to improve such development and revial of the carst villages and to guarantee a future to the farms and to the women who could be engaged in their own ther own families and in the modern society. This could lead to the womens liberation from her centuries-old inferior position in the patriachal society.
