Sažetak
The design of the structural repair of a 750 m3 polyester reservoir for the storage of phosphor acid in the harbour of Koper (Slovenia) is considered. The reservoir structure is made by glass fiber reinforced polymer composites. The repair is necessary due to the circumferential cracks at the connection of the vertical cylindrical wall and horizontal bottom plate. The designed repair is based on the new stiffer polyester bottom and on the assumption that the connection between bottom plate and vertical wall must be rigid. Special testing procedure is performed, so the material properties are obtained fpr each layer. The structure is completely numerically tested by non.linear shell analysis which takes into account layered approach. The structure is also technologically described.
