Sažetak
The authors focus on the exceptionally important field safety offered to tourists in a tourism destination. Special attention is being dedicated to traffic, as the departure of tourists from out-going countries and places of residence up to the moment of arrival to their destinations as a goal and temporary stay, represents a great problem. The authors take into consideration the inadequate roads, especially those of the Adriatic macro-region and Istria as the country s most developed regions-whitch even today represent a bottleneck for exisgence and quality development of traffic, tourism industry and the economy as a whole. Therefore, it is important to build modern roads and other forms of traffic as well as the implementation of the Program for Safety Prevention Activities in traffic and positive measures held in the National Traffic Road Safety Program and different measures of road assistance available to tourists on ther way to ther destination.
