Sažetak
The application of the wooden external fixator (WEF) is in accordance with the general operative principles of external fixators, but long cortical screws with self-tapping tips are used instead of the usual Schantz screws. They are applicated through separate small incisions near operative wound. Two screws are always on each side to ensure stability; one is no sufficient because of rotation.
