Sažetak
Orobanche crenata Forsk is a parasitic weed that has devastating effects on Vicia faba L. crop and has become a limiting factor for faba bean production in the Mediterranean region. The mode of reproduction of the parasite makes its control extremely difficult ; it can produce 50, 000 to 500, 000 tiny seeds that can remain viable in the soil for many years and are dispersed by humans, machinery, animals and wind. Three putative QTLs (Oc1, Oc2 y Oc3) controlling resistance have been already identified in an F2 derived from the cross between a susceptible (Vf6) and a resistant parent (Vf136). Recombinant Inbred Lines (F6 generation) have been developed from this cross in order to confirm both the presence and location of the QTLs previously detected
