Sažetak
Dynamical building and expected increased traffic volume on the (Croatian) motorways opens up questions about the function and the requirements of an incident management system. Incident management is a complex process with sub-processes of incident detection, incident verification, incident response, normalization and documentation. ITS environment requires revision and transfer of some operational responsibilities from the police to highway (motorway) authority. The systems integration engineering through an entire system life cycle is necessary.
