Sažetak
Electronic payments system will stimulate the growth of the new Internet economy by poroviding a reliable, secure means of payment in transactions carried out online.Legal regulations for electronic payment instruments are necessary and they spread influence of the electronic payment instruments wideningin business practice.In this paper the autrhors have analyzed legal freamework for electronic payment instruments in the frame of the European Union and compared it with the regulation of some EU member states.The acceptance of the EU directive on electroniuc money institutes will influence the wider usage of electronic payment instruments.
