Sažetak
This article deals with the possibilities of application of multimedial communications and tehnologies in the diagnostics of professional asbestosis, and asbestosis in the general population, and gives the structure of multimedia communication with purpose of diagnostic of professional asbestosis. Some of the specifics of the town of Ploče have been given as an example, as typical of the telemedicine services. Expexted benefits of the use of multimedial system are: reduced loss of working hours, reduced travel expenses and accelerated procedure of diagnostics, which would improve health care in the population living in the proximity of an asbestos factory.
