Sažetak
For a real shipbuilding production process authors were invited to develop a computer model. Considering process particular technological limitations, various scenarios have been analyzed using simulation method, through varying several equipment configurations and product assortments. During research several problem areas were noted regarding the design optimisation process. Criteria evaluation ranking has shown to be the key towards approaching design with the most efficient functional configuration and financial resources utilisation. It was decided additionally, to explore simulation method usage not only for analysing various process scenarios, but also as a tool for ranking of evaluation criteria dedicated to choose and implement new technology configuration within the process. Considering existing limitations, criteria rank list according to significance priority against goal function, have been defined. Finally, model of robotized production line for profile cutting has been developed. Based on performed analysis an optimal line layout design has been proposed.
