Sažetak
UV protection of textiles is very actual and recommended by dermatologists as well as by scientists especially during the summer time. It is well known that many factors influence on the UPF of textiles. Our investigation was focused on the influence of the fluorescent whitening agent (FWA) and UV protection agent for application in detergents and repeated washing on the UPF, whiteness and shade change of textiles. Bleached and pastel shades dyed cotton fabrics were washed 1, 5, 10, 15 and 25 times using standard ECE Detergent. Washing was applied at 40 °C with pure detergent and with addition of the FWA and UV protection agent, separately and in combination. UPF, whiteness and shade of fabrics after repeated washings were determined with standard methods. Relations between UPF, whiteness and shade were different after repeated washings with applied combinations.
