Sažetak
IGU NGV Project named “ Global opportunities for natural gas as a transportation fuel for today and tomorrow” started within the IGU Study Group 5.3 (Utilization of natural gas in transport) with the aim to demonstrate long-term key factors for development of natural gas as a transportation fuel, and also, to point out to gas industry, what are the implications and risks of future development and investment programs in NGVs. Targeted ways of CH4 utilization that are be observed more closely are: compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), bio-methane and hydrogen produced from natural gas. Project started in late 2003 and should be completed at the beginning of 2006. Project Task, Study Group organization (countries, companies and organizations involved), working methods and preliminary (working) results are presented in this report.
