Sažetak
Eneolitic site Vučedol is situated on the right Danube bank, 4,5 km SE from the town Vukovar (north-eastern Croatia).
Our research was carried out on deers antler that was found by archaeological excavation which has been undertaken during the year 1984-85 by Dr. Sc. A. Durman and his associates from Philosophic Faculty University of Zagreb. About 15 000 excavated animal bones and antlers were stored on Veterinary Faculty University of Zagreb. They are from three main cultures on Vučedol site: Baden, Kostolac and Vučedol. Researched deers antler is from Vučedol cultural period.
Our intention was to compare size and composition (using CT), of eneolitic antler fragment with recent deers antler. On our regrets, we have only lower part of antler, while upper one was broken off, maybe for a tool, which can explain presence of this antler at human settlements.
