Sažetak
Lesions of the ulnar nerve after fracture-dislocations of the forearm were considered very rare. In published reports different types of nerve injuries were included and authors recommended different treatment methods. We report three cases of surgically treated ulnar nerve injuries following fracture of the distal radius with greenstick fracture of the ulna, following midshaft forearm fracture, and following fracture of the radius with dislocation of the inferior radio-ulnar joint (Galeazzi fracture). The first patient had a lesion in continuity with positive nerve action potentials. Graft repair due to a lesion with loss of continuity after 15 months delay was performed in thesecond patient. The third patient had a lesion in continuity without nerve action potentials through the injured segment of the nerve and graft repair was performed. Useful functional recovery following surgical treatment of ulnar nerve injuries associated with forearm fracture-dislocation is encouraging.
