tilt or extensometer measurements; two component vertical pendulum-tiltmeter
Sažetak
Deformation measurments of different origin in closed subsurface environments does not enable the usage of modern GPS technology, so the usage of tilt or extensometer measurments with continuous data flux could help to solve some of those tasks. The paper describes the construction of a two component vertical pendulum-tiltmeter provided with a digitally capacitance sensor. The Faculty of mining, geology and petroleum engineering, at the University of Zagreb realised the construction. The instrument could be used for direct deformation measurments but is developed as an additional sensor with a feedback system for platform stabilisation in inertial instruments. Because of the fast and direct data transfer from the digitally sensors into a computer or notebook, on-line measurements of deformations, even with high measuring rates could be done. The system is mounted in an oil-bath for temperature stabilisation and additional damping. Built-in low-cut, high-cut or band-pass filters could be used with an additionally analogue output in a voltage range of +/-10V, so an additionally separate high accurate AD converter could be connected. Laboartory testing of the instrument has been done and long term stability tests are in process.
