Sažetak
The classical Menger-Urysohn theorem gives the inequality formula for the dimension of the union of two subsets of a metrizable space in terms of their dimensions. J. Dydak has given the analogue of this theorem in extension theory, again for the class of metrizable spaces. Here is given a generalization od Dydak's result to the class of stratifiable spaces, which is more general than the class of metrizable spaces and is contained in the class of paracompact spaces.
