Sažetak
Geothermal energy, a highly ecologically and economically acceptable heating resource, has not been used on the Adriatic coastal area in Croatia up till now although its use has increased significantly worldwide.
This research will present some of the geological characteristics such as: soil temperature, tempeature gradients, heat flow and conduction as well as the influence of the sea and climate. These parameters are especially interesting for projecting and installing a heating system in buildings with the use of so-called shallow geothermal energy for use of which there are quite favorable conditions.
