Sažetak
This diploma thesis deals with testing in teaching Englsih as a foreign language. It consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. The teoretical part presents basic facts and notions about testing and the experimantal part presents the results of a research carried out in an elementary school. The aim of the research was to find out whether there would be differences in the results in two different types of tests administered to the same group of students, testing the same language unit. The results showed that students were more successful in multiple-choice tests than in gap-filling tests.
